Last June we were delighted to announce that The Alun Armstrong Sports Centre, based in Shildon, Co. Durham, had become one of our accredited facilities.

Now, the community focussed, not-for-profit venue has signed on again for the next 12 months.



AA Sports Centre is a Community Interest Company providing sports and fitness facilities to the local community. A non-profit organisation dedicated to provide facilities to the community to improve their health. Ideals that we at the UKMA share and are proud to assist.  



Like us, the staff at AA Sports Centre work to provide people the chance to gain skills and encourage team work that they wouldn't otherwise be involved in.

The centre is is owned by - and named after -  former Stockport, Middlesbrough and Ipswich striker Alun Armstrong, who was a veteran over 350 games in his career and almost 100 goals, and features a gym and conference facilities as well as the state of the art facilities, which were immediately passed by our officials.
