The Wales Minifootball team have signed a new sponsorship deal with Starbucks that will see the firm’s logo on their new t-shirts.

In addition, the Bridgend store will become a permanent base for the team before training sessions, with food provided to the players.

Manager Barry John was delighted with the move and added: I am grateful to Melissa at Starbucks Bridgend, for providing a base for the Wales squad to meet before training, it gives me time to go over the session prior to training with the players while they enjoy the hospitality.

“It also gives the squad time to create a bond away from the training ground which they can take forward with them to MiniEuro2016 in Hungary.”

The Manager of Starbucks Bridgend was equally pleased and said: “The magic bean company are delighted to announce our partnership with the Wales 6-a-side team. We are pleased to offer a base for the squad to meet before their monthly training sessions. This is a big year for the team and we look forward to being a part of it."

In addition, Barry admitted that the sessions would be important for team bonding: “It also give the squad time to create a bond away from the training ground which they can take forward with them to MiniEuro2016 in Hungary.”

The t-shirts were printed by Euroschools, and Colin Mawer from the firm said: “We are pleased to have helped organize the Training Kit for the UKMA Wales 6 A Side Squad and congratulate them on winning the 2015 Home Nations Tournament, we wish them well in all future competitions.”
