The Wales management team of Barry John and Colin Jones, together with skipper Rory Garey and goalkeeper Rhys Wilson, met with the Deputy Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport, Ken Skates yesterday.

The meeting, which took place on Senedd Steps, Cardiff Bay was to commemorate the Welsh victory in the Home Nations Championships in June.

During the reception Mr. Skates took the time to praise the side, and also to wish them all the best for the forthcoming European 6 a side Championships in Croatia: “Congrats Wales’ 6-a-side football team on winning the recent UK Championships,” he said.

Mr Skates was elected to the National Assembly for Wales with 42.4% of the vote in Clwyd South. His keen interests include enhancing the identity and tourism potential of Clwyd South, as well as improving mental health care and physical fitness. He is also determined to improve job and training prospects for young people, as well as protect crucial services for the vulnerable.
