The squad met in Bridgend last weekend as they continue the build up to miniEURO2014 under new boss Barry John and his assistant Colin Jones.

The new players that have been picked out from the recent trials were integrated into the tough sessions, as the lads were put through their paces.

The UKMA’s National Team Director, Pete Mitchell said he was pleased with what he had seen and added: “The trials, the new management team and the new players are all coming together to ensure everything is going superbly.

“There is no doubt in my mind that the team will be in a much more competitive state than they were last year, when although the team conducted themselves superbly, they found it a big step up."

At last year’s event in Crete – which marked the first time that the team had competed on the international stage – Wales lost all three matches.
