The evolution of the Welsh Minifootball team continues this weekend as new coach Barry John takes his second training session.

Barry was announced as the man to take the Wales team forward to their miniEURO2014 campaign in Israel and will be leading a major get together with the squad as final decisions are due to be made about the final travelling party.

The prospective squad will meet at Brackla Sports Centre this weekend to be put through their paces by Barry and his Assistant Colin Jones.

UK Minifootball’s National Teams Executive Pete Mitchell said he was looking forward to seeing the team evolve and added: “Wales competed for the first time at miniEURO in last year’s tournament in Rethmyno, Crete, they battled hard in the group stage matches against Bulgaria, Spain and England, impressing with their commitment. They lost all three games, but under the leadership of an experienced football man like Barry, we have no doubt they will be set for a much brighter campaign.”

All the news on the trials will be included on the website next week, together with all Barry’s thoughts as to the state of the squad.
